I am an Assistant Principal at a public elementary school in a very large school division. I am passionate about ensuring ALL students have equitable access to meaningful learning and that our assessment and grading practices are equitable, both in their design and their application. I also love instruction, building relationships, student and teacher engagement, well designed professional learning and innovative teaching ideas! I thrive on the challenges and new ideas I learn from my Professional Learning Network (PLN), both in person and on social media. I embrace reflection, collaboration and change as a path to improvement. I’m a former elementary teacher and have been an Instructional Tech Coach in both elementary and high schools as well as working in the division office of instruction. I supported professional learning and planned for a division wide initiative to transform teaching and learning for all students.
